Le Boulon

Located in Vieux-Condé in the Valenciennes mining area, the Boulon is a space of life and artistic creation, exceptional and open to all, turned to the field of live arts in public space. With the creation of the festival Turbulentes in 1999 and the implementation of a project within a former bolts, where even were partially manufactured rivets of the Eiffel Tower, the association has been growing for more than twenty years an accomplice and sensitive relationship between artists, audiences and the city. Labeled National Center for Street and Public Space Arts by the Ministry of Culture and Communication in September 2013, the bolt is part of the circle of fourteen CNAREP, constituting the only national reference equipment north of Paris. It has the peculiarity of proposing both the conditions and the tools necessary for the steps of creation of artistic companies, and a project of cultural development on the territory, focused on urban and social issues.
